The current liturgical season is Epiphany. Epiphany is, first, a holiday observed on January 6th, and is also known as Three Kings Day. It commemorates the arrival of the wise men or Magi to see Jesus. The term "epiphany" comes from the Greek meaning "appear, reveal, shine, give light."  The magi are led by starlight to a baby who would himself be called "the light of the world."  The magi were willing to travel great distances to discover what their god would reveal - and they found Jesus. Do we radiate the light of Christ for others to see? Are we ready to make a lifelong journey to seek truth and light?

Prayer:  Meet us at the beginning of this year and walk with us to the end of the journey.  Amen

Here is James Taylor's version of the Epiphany story in song.  Lyrics are attached
